Bobbi Brown | Warm Define Illuminate

Hey guys!

Recently, I was invited to Bobbi Brown for their exclusive new product launch. Very exciting! The products included new lipsticks by bloggers, as well as a great bronzing/highlighting range, just in time for Summer. I mean I say that, but who doesn't want to look sun-kissed all the time, so really, these are products I would happily be using all year round!

Also very exciting, I got to model their new products for them, so I got to see and feel what they wear like, not just what they look like. So my review will definitely be honest and in-depth. I'm not joking when I say - I fell in love with everything! Oh dear :D

Where to start?

The Lipsticks

Part of Bobbi Browns new product launch included lipsticks designed by 3 bloggers, each having a signature shade: "Molly Wow", a coral shade by @molly_chiang, "Darling Dalalid", a deep purple shade by @dalalid, and "Sazan Nude", a nude shade by @sazan. Each of these colours are beautiful and are ones I would definitely try. They have great pigment, each is stunning, and the colours are very flattering. Personally, I love all 3 shades, but there is definitely one for everyone. They glide on smoothly and feel nice and soft, plus they stay on! I had the "Molly Wow" put on me and normally, I would be scared of this shade not being very me, but I can honestly say, I really liked it and think it would be gorgeous to pair with a makeup look for a sunny day. Not to mention, it made a great cheek tint too! I had this on all day and it didn't budge but it didn't make my lips feel dry, OR tacky, so they really are a perfect consistency.

Warm Define Illuminate

Right. I love a good base. I love to have dewy, glowing skin, so this launch was right up my street!

I'll start with the "Dual-ended Bronzer/Face Blender Brush" featured on the display. 

Can I just say, that the idea for a double-ended brush with different ends for different products, is just genius. The struggle is real when you're packing your makeup bag and you're trying to cram all those brushes in, they're all different sizes, and your bag just becomes this irregular shape?! Obviously, this sort of brush is going to help that situation, but as for the brush quality itself - fantastic. This brush is designed for bronzing, (using the darker side), and blush and highlighting, (using the lighter side). The bristles are packed with the perfect density on each side so they're not too weak and don't end up with a lot of product caught between the hairs. They are soft and fluffy, and I find, apply my makeup perfectly.

Now for the makeup.

We need to just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the "Highlight & Glow Shimmer Brick Palette" in this new range. It. Is. Stunning. 

This was one of those products I knew I would love just by looking at it. You have 3 shimmer bricks: "Rose", "Copper Diamond" and Apricot", which can be used as both blusher and highlighter. Talking about versatility...you can use the individual strips as eyeshadows, and I personally have been using the top strip of "Apricot" to highlight my brow bone and inner eyes. I think each block is so beautiful and is great quality. I tend to lean towards the last 2 shades as I find them better for my skin this time of year, but due to the options, I can change up my choices whenever I feel. I wasn't sure at first about using one of these blocks as a blush option, but I now use "Apricot" and it really brings out the apples of my cheeks in a subtle but glowing way. Plus all bricks blend perfectly so you're not left with that awkward streak when you're sculpting your face!

Now for the bronzer.

 I've tried both cream and powder bronzers, but think I'm more of a powder girl. I think cream would be great for a night out when you'd use a bit more makeup, but for the day I find powder has a better effect. I have this bronzer in the shade "Deep" and find it really gives my skin that warm, sun-kissed glow. This powder bronzer is great because it doesn't go chalky or flake off the brush, but goes onto the skin nicely and is really easy to build up until you're happy with it. Plus, the application doesn't take long and I really can just swipe it on and run out of the door!
